My aunt Kay had breast cancer. My sister had breast cancer. Greg's mom died of breast cancer. Carin at my studio has a sister who's had it in both breasts. Joan at my studio had it. Lileen in my ballet class had it. A woman at my office had it before she worked here. 2 women on the committe I work with here are survivors as well. And Mark, the other guy on our team, is the son of a breast cancer survivor.

When you walk or run in the Race for the Cure you get to meet some incredible people. When you participate in the 3-Day, you get to really know these people. This is something that will touch your life in ways you never anticipated.

However, I promise to make snarky remarks and jokes quietly during the opening ceremonies so that neither you, I, nor Mark end up crying any.
