This weekend

This weekend we did do a lot of de-cluttering and tidying.

We also had a bad argument this afternoon about how self-defeating Carole often is, putting roadblocks in the way of her own plans and consequently getting very little done.

In other words, some good, some bad.

I'd say, on balance, that the weekend worked out okay, though.

We wrapped things up tonight by splitting a bottle of Manischewitz Blackberry Wine and toasting 11 years of married excitement.

Ooooh, yum! I love Manischewitz! It's actually the only wine with a screw top that I'll drink. And, I'm not really a wine snob, I just like to drink something that tastes good, and it's the only one with that type of stopper that does. Well, that and Mogen David. I have no idea where my Old World Catholic German grandmother got a taste for Kosher wine, but she's the one that introduced me to it.

And, yes, that was when I was a kid of...younger than my daughters are now that I first acquired a taste for the stuff. What can I say? I'm from WI, where a child can go into a bar with a parent or guardian and legally drink, no matter the age of the child. :P


No, I'm not a lush, or even remotely alcoholic, believe it or not. I've just been able to drink for way longer than most people I know, and definitely longer than anyone my own age I know. I had odd parents. I appreciate a good drink, or wine, and only drink occasionally, but I do know what I like.

sorry to go on and on and ramble. Going on...33 hours with no sleep? Husband had surgery on his shoulder today.
