Ninety years ago today, the guns finally fell silent.

Thank you, veterans of all wars, for your service and your sacrifice in defense of our nation and our people.

We should also remember the enablers of the wars - the politicians who start wars, the other people who bullshit other people into being not only willing but eager to march into the meat grinder, the civilians who believe the lies because questioning them would not be "patriotic"...

One of the chapters deals with the WWI propaganda efforts, the Four Minute Men, the building of the image of the enemy, building of perception of threat, appeals to emotions instead of using logical arguments... It's pretty eye opening.
