Things that are good:
Walking twenty to forty miles a week for several months and watching my metabolism kick into active gear and watching the pounds just melt away.
Things that suck:
Watching winter weather and short days roll in to Vermont and watching the weight loss slowwwwww down as my outdoor perambulations come to a halt
Things that really suck:
Tearing my left calf muscle doing a "giant stride" off a dive boat near Key Largo back in December, and spending the next several weeks gimping around like a decrepit wreck
Things that really, really suck when you put 'em all together:
Watching my weight go back up as I get basically zero exercise. Sigh. Can't even pedal a stationary bike let alone go out for a twenty-mile amble.
That being said, the leg seems to be on the mend, finally, and with any luck I'll be able to get back out there. (With my luck I'll push it and wind up tearing it worse.)
Bitch, bitch, bitch, whine.
