jayfurrQuestion: would you be willing to donate to the Breast Cancer 3-Day if I promised to spend the next several months bald as an egg? In other words, not just shave my head down, but keep it that way until July?
A while back I dyed my hair brown; I dye it fairly regularly. However, it's grown out a bit since my last dye job and haircut, and I'm starting to look a bit piebald, for want of a better word.
I'm getting sick of hair dye. I guess women either get used to it or pay their hairdressers to do it, but I've always found it an annoying, messy job, especially since my beard and mustache are just in much of a need of dyeing as the hair on top and, frankly, inhaling hair dye for a half hour isn't pleasant.
So I'm debating the alternative to dyeing: just shaving it all off again. No big deal: so I'll be bald for a few days until it grows back, then I'll be all Mr. Gray until I get tired of that and decide hair dye isn't so bad after all.
But I'm curious -- is there anyone out there who'd be willing to donate to the Breast Cancer 3-Day in return for my staying bald until the Boston 3-Day in July? I mean, I'd have to shave my head every day or two, and while there are obviously guys who do precisely that, it's a bit of a burden. But if there are folks who'd love to see me parading around hairless for several months and would put their money out there to make it happen, I'd be willing to do it.
