The Drawback To Living In Hotels
Jan. 28th, 2010 01:23 amThe drawback to living in hotels: the guy in the next room. Usually I stay in decent hotels where there's adequate soundproofing but this hotel in Woodland Hills, California leaves a bit to be desired in that regard. For the last half hour the guy in 1207 has been playing some video game or other, I'm guessing some kind of fighting game, which has a voice that calls out stuff like "FEINT TO THE GROIN!" every few seconds.
In fact, I'm getting "FEINT TO THE GROIN" a LOT more than I get stuff like "FLYING HEAD SPIN" (or whatever it is - some of the sounds are kinda muffled). "FEINT TO THE GROIN" comes through loud and clear each time.
Sigh.
