While I go out of my way to be sure not to wear green (real Irish don't have to play), I don't think I'd ever go out of my way to wear orange! Did you get any flak for it?
I'm not Irish and never remembered to wear green when I was a kid and got REAL SICK of taking flak for failing to do so. Now I'm an angry embittered adult and orange is my favorite color. Some years I get a few raised eyebrows and some years I don't.
