Apropos of Nothing
Jun. 25th, 2008 11:14 amApropos of absolutely nothing:
If weird forces from beyond the veil came to my house and took all my books, and I mean all of them, and for some reason I was given the choice of receiving the complete works of a single science fiction author in exchange, I'd probably ask for the works of Clifford Simak.
Poul Anderson would be a close runner-up, but I think to be honest, I've enjoyed Simak more than any single other science fiction author.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled interesting lives while I get back to my banal humdrum existence.

My choice would probably be Fritz Leiber, for the same reasons as Anderson. Leiber, like Anderson, wrote excellent SF and fantasy, but he also was a master of horror.
