So what are you doing there? I can see it's an LJ clone, and I picked up a little of their motivation from their FAQ, but I still feel like I don't know much.
There's really no guarantee that LJ will even be around much longer. They canned almost all their North American staff and the remainder of the site has been outsourced to Russia.
Dreamwidth is based on the LJ code base, but a lot of the "wouldn't it be nice" things that LJ was supposed to have one day, but then never did, are going to be present or already are present.

I hardly have time to do much on social networking these days, so it's not like my all-important blog is going to move over there. I hardly ever reply to LJ entries, let alone writing any of my own. :(
