Let me start right off by saying that I'd appreciate as many comments as possible to today's post.
I've walked in five 3-Day For The Cure walks and crewed two more. And I've met many, MANY people who've told me how the Komen foundation paid for their mammogram. And perhaps helped pay for the transport to the mammogram. (Not everyone, after all, has facilities to receive a mammogram in their immediate community; some people have to travel hundreds of miles or wait for a mammo van to come around.)
Other people have benefited from drugs developed in Komen-sponsored clinical trials. Or had help paying for their chemo or radiation treatments, or for surgery.
I could go on and on, but actually, the focus today is on you, not me. Rather than my re-telling stories second-or-third-hand, I'd really, really appreciate it if you'd share.
So dish: how has Susan G. Komen For The Cure helped YOU?
