The raffle that Carole and I are holding to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day For The Cure ends today at 6 pm Eastern Standard Time. To enter, donate $50 or more to the 3-Day via either of our donation links (the money goes directly to Komen, not to us):
Each person who donates at least $50 will be entered in the raffle. I'll put each participant's name on a card and draw three and we'll promptly get them shipped off to the winners.
Right now the odds of winning a bear look pretty good: we have THREE Breast Cancer Awareness teddy bears from Vermont Teddy Bear, and we have (drumroll...) FOUR entrants. Heck, at this point it'll be faster to just draw the name of the one person who DIDN'T win a bear.
Yeah, we should probably have set the required donation amount to get into the raffle a good bit lower. The bears aren't inexpensive, though, and we didn't get 'em for free, so we hoped a $50 threshold would bring people out in pretty decent numbers. Then there was this earthquake... but anyway. We're very grateful to the people who did donate and we're grateful as well, in an abstract sense, to people who didn't donate because they were helping out with other causes. Don't think that we're fuming because y'all didn't make our pet cause your number one priority. :)
