Corn dogs are God's perfect food.

Unfortunately, they are also laden with grease and my Earthly metabolism, lacking as it does the divine perfection of the angels of the heavenly host, is prone to turn them directly into fat.

Regrettably, I must subsist on raw vegetables and low-fat wraps and stuff if I am to lose weight.

DAMN YOU MY INEFFICIENT, SINFUL METABOLISM!

(and don't even get me started about Moon Pies. Sigh.)

Alternately, cut out the sugar and wheat and go with meat, cheese and vegetables.

Actually, I've been dieting fairly successfully by focusing on:

* tons of salad
* a daily bowl of "Colon Blow"-style high fiber cereal

I have to avoid cheese. With me, there's no such thing as "just a little cheese."

I eat huge amounts of cheese, and I've lost 34 pounds so far.

Imagine being Irish & having to give up potatoes,
or a baker who can't eat cake.

Now visualize it strongly every morning until you get your wish!

I just think it's worse!
Out of my top 10 favorite foods, 3 of them are potato chips!

When I last saw you (twelve years ago) you were so thin you could have been used as a lockpick. In fact, I have a hard time envisioning you as anything other than rail thin. Don't destroy my illusions!

Well, your memory is playing tricks on you - I was not that
thin. I have put on 15 pounds since then (okay, a solid 10
& 5 that fluctuates), and even tho' everyone else still says
I'm thin, I have gone up a whole dress size and am actually
one step away from "fat clothes". My body has just stopped
metabolizes starches as well as it used to, and, the last time
I went to the doctors, she said I was "pre-diabetic" Well, that
runs in my family - I do not have to be fat to get it. But I
find it hard to lose any real weight.
